Macedonian Review, established in 1924 as a scholar journal published by the Macedonian Scientific Institute in Sofia, is the oldest academic periodical on the historical and geographical region of Macedonia.
Currently it is a double blind peer-reviewed journal focused on that region from antiquity to the present. It welcomes articles and book reviews relevant to its history, culture, linguistics, politics and social life, while scholar research on the other regions relevant to the past and present of Macedonia would be also appreciated. High-standard editorial control in the selection and preparation of publications is guaranteed by our editorial procedure – papers are peer-reviewed by specialists, well-acquainted with the discussed topics.
Macedonian Review is distributed, abstracted and indexed in Academic Search Ultimate, Central and Eastern European Academic Source (CEEAS), Historical Abstracts (EBSCOhost Research Databases, USA), Linguistic Bibliography, Google Scholar, Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL).
