The memoirs of Georgi Bozhkov, which he wished but was unable to publish during his lifetime, relate to the historical past of the town of Yenice-Vardar and to a large extent to its Bulgarian population. They shed new light on its ecclesiastical, cultural, educational and revolutionary struggles in the late 19th century and early 20th century. As such, they have been clear evidence of the high Bulgarian national spirit for generations in Southern Macedonia.
